Miles Austin, people, is a stud. A year ago? Not so much. But now? He's like, the fifth-ranked WR in fantasy football. And very popular in Dallas. And a Pro Bowler.
But most importantly, if you believe Bleacher Report by way of Sports by Brooks by way of an offline National Enquirer story, Miles is dating Kim Kardashian. Yes, the same Kim Kardashian who recently broke up with "depressed" Super Bowl Champion Reggie Bush, the Trojan Horse of the Trojans:
"Kim's carving out more time in her schedule to be with Miles, and she's telling those close to her that he's 'the one,'" the supermarket tabloid reports. "Her mom, Kris, is hoping Miles is the right guy as well. Kim turns 30 in October, and her mother is pushing for her to get married and start a family before too long."
Now, I'm no historian, but permit me to make two points. One, Kimmy and Reggie broke up (for the second time) a few months ago. Two, well, actually, I forgot what I was going to say. But I'm pretty sure it had something to do with "true love," which is a wonderful gift bestowed from above. It's just that when we start talking about celebrity romances, well, it almost never works out. Even the most ideal situations -- Brangelina, Romessica, Bennifer -- usually don't last.
Of course, there are happy couples, like Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson, who survived the whole, "hey, that's your wife on that sex tape" thing. But Baskett doesn't play for the Cowboys, and he's not a huge star.
Austin is both a Cowboy and a star, at least in the town of Dallas, which is probably just getting over Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo. Which is to say, if Austin truly is in love with Kardashian, then he better make sure he doesn't let his love life alter his on-field performance, or there'll be some pretty angry Texans screaming at him during games. (And possibly teammates blubbering about him after a big loss).
And, worst of all, we'll all have to suffer through more Kardashian masks at sporting events.
