Why should I register? In order to fully utilize the abilities of this board. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following:
- Post new threads.
- Reply to other peoples' threads.
- Edit your posts.
- Edit your profile.
- Receive email notification of replies to posts and threads you specify.
- Send private messages to other members.
To register, you will need to specify a username and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address, and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case and then you will be emailed your password and once you login you can change your password.
Why can't I Log In? That could be a few reasons! If you cant log in check these following points:
- Be careful of spelling when you sign up!
- Make sure you spelled your username and password right.
- That u are using the user name u original registered with
- If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten your password.
- Did you sign up more than once? Well if you did, we delete users with same email addresses so please limit forum names when signing up, to one name per person and plus signing up more than once, takes names away from people who'd like to maybe use that name.
- Click on tools on the menubar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu on the window that pops up,click on the privacy tab Put the arrow and track so that the arrow is on low Click ok.
If all fails post about it in the Pure Entertainment MB forum and tell me if u have forget your username or password and I shall either get your username or arrange a new password!
I lost my password, what can I do? If you forget your password, you can click on 'Forgotten Your Password on the login page.
How do I post a message? On the page that lists all of the posts on a board, you will see an icon in the top right that says "new thread." By clicking this icon you can post a new message on the board.
How do I reply to a message? To reply to a message, click the "reply" button at the top of the page the post is on. This will take you to a form that you can use to reply to that post.
Why was my post delete? You did not follow the rules of the forum and any posts that breaks the rules with be delete (Please reread the rules if you are confused or PM me).
Posts that could lead to a heated argument are usually closed.We like to make our board a place where all members can get along. Please keep in mind that sometimes your opinion might not agree with another member's. If I notice there is arguing, the thread will be closed.
Posts that are graphic in nature tend to be closed because some of the topics can be unpleasant for the other members. For basic rules of the forum please check the rules.
Why was my post locked? - It's breaks the rules.

Why did I get banned? - If you break the rules, below is how it will go down:
- First offense - First warning
- Second offense - Second Warning
- Third offense - Banned temporarily
- Fourth offense - Banned permanently.
Repeated violations of these rules or disregard of warnings will result in a temporary or permanent ban.
If you are rude to the staff or members you will be banned automatically.
If you have been banned, and you do not think there was a reason for you to be banned:
- Try refreshing the page
- Try reconnecting to the internet
If you have been banned, and you think you know the reason but its not your fault or has been misunderstood then post about it in here so we can discuss the problem.
If you are truly banned you will know it. You will never just wake up and be banned. You will get warnings. What you do on other forums has nothing to do with this forum. If you cuss me on the other forums I might not like you but if you don't do it here you are safe.
Why did I get banned? First, make sure you are actually banned. If you are banned from the forum, when you try to reply, you will see a message saying that you been banned that probably means you did something wrong and you should post in here to find out the problem. Perhaps you broke the forum's rules.
The second reason you might be "banned" (and this happens all the time) if someone have the same IP number as you or similar ones, you get banned as well. If that happens to you, you should reboot your computer and that will automatically get you a new IP number and repost on the board.

What is the max sizes for the avatars and signatures? Avatar - Max height: 150 Max width: 150.
Signature - Max width: 500 Max height: 300 .Try and keep them so that they don't "stretch" the board. If you have more than one image in your signature that 500 in height is the combined size of all images.
Any over that well be removed and you'll be pm and to see your new signature or avatar you can look in your profile or you can simply look at one of your previous posts.
If the sig or avatar won't show up go back to your profile and make sure that the url and the ubbc code is correct. Then go back and look at your profile or any of your posts to see if you fixed it.

Where is my password? When you register, you must enter a valid email address. You will then be emailed your randomly generated password.
Most people experience this problem with Hotmail and AOL. Check your junkmail bin. Sometimes they are redirected through the filter.If you did that and you still don't have your password I recommend that you create a temporary free e-mails account like: yahoo. If you still need help or just don't want to get temporary e-mails then please post in here.
Once you have your password you can then login to the board and change your password to something else on the profile page.
Why can't I see some of the forums on Pure Entertainment MB? That because some of the forums on Pure Entertainment MB is members only so you must register before your able to post,reply or see the posts so please join and introduce yourselves to us in the Introductions & Goodbyes.
"Too Many Connections" The server is busy right now. So some of you may be seeing the "Too Many Connections" message. Please just wait it out. If the servers didn't take a break they would crash so it is important that you wait the 30 seconds and then try again. Please don't keep re-clicking this only slows the servers down more.
Can I be a moderator? If your interested in moderating here's what to do:
- First read the requirements then pm me and tell me The following:
- Name: (your real first name)
- Age: (your age, just so we know)
- Availability: (how often would you be able to visit/post/oversee?)
- Forum (what forums would you like to mod)
- Skills: (what would you be able to contribute to the forum, if any? it could be help with coding, graphics, anything that you think is useful. If this is left blank, it will not affect our final decision)
- Experience: (have you been a mod for any other forum and if so, how long?)
- Reason for interest: (why do you want to be a part of staff?)
- Lastly, feel free to add anything else you consider relevant.

What's this "print" button I see when reading posts? If you ever want to print a thread out, simply click this button and you will be presented with a printer-friendly page that you can print out.
What are the requirements to be a moderator? Note: You will have the title and all responsible of a mod expect for close/deleted/modify/sticky posts. If you still want to be a mod here are the requirements
- Be friendly and responsible.
- Must know and follow the rules
- Invite new people.
- Being sure that you can handle the position.
- Start new topics, keep the discussion going and interacting with the members.
- Generally, a moderator should be able to check the boards at least twice a day or more.
- You have to be a regular (So keep on posting. But please don't post nonsense messages just to get your post count up).

What to do with threads and members that are breaking the rules? - Post a thread in the mod board to report a member.
- Move the post to the mod board and let me know if it need's to be close/deleted/modify/sticky and I will do it (you wouldn't have the power to do it yourself because you will need to run it by me first) so I figure this way will be easier.
- Never public embarassed anyone. If someone is breaking a rule(s) please warn them by pm and if a post breaks the rules please move it to the mod board and pm the member to let them know.
Why are old posts come up as new? If you have old posts come up as new, this is because the main ProBoards server rests itself every so often. I know it's a pain, but at the top of the page, click 'Mark As Read'.
Why are pages refresh themselves ? If you find the pages refresh themselves before you can read anything, that's because, whenever any of our staff move topics, it gets rid of the 'Moved/Locked' Symbol (to keep it looking tidy!)
How do I change the board's clock? To change the board clock time, go to Profile - down to time off set & put either + or - (eg -5 hours). Hint: In the UK it's +5 hours. Europe is one hour ahead. These boards are in US time by default
Why doesn't my link work? If someone's website doesn't work you need to put http:// in front of it, Pure Entertainment MB comes up first as default.
Why can't I edit my polls? You can't edit polls once you make them (you can change the subject) so be careful what options you choose so if you mess up please delete it and make a new on. If you can't delete then ask one of us to delete it for you.
What are IP Addresses? IP addresses do not reveal any personally identifiable information about people. Your ip address is collected by every single website you visit, as well as other basic information about your computer system, such as what site you visited from, your monitor resolution, operating system, etc. All of the above information is considered public information by interNIC. The above information is still revealed to every website you visit even if you turn your security to the highest setting in your web browser. IP addresses can be likened to the area code part of a phone number: they reveal a person's general location but not their exact location. Another common misconception is that each computer has a unique IP address; IP addresses do not reveal a computer's location, they reveal the location of the server being used by your internet service provider. This why your IP address changes when you switch to a different internet service provider. It is also why sometimes a large group of people share the same IP address and why most people's IP address is dynamic and changes every time they come online. When you visit website is public information and can be revealed by anyone, to anyone at any time.
What wrong with my post count? If your post count isn't right, it's because topics/boards have been revamped & deleted. We usually leave the post counts, but if there is a problem We WILL put it back to its original number (spamming etc).
Modify profile changes? When you go to edit your profile, you now have to put in your current password. The very top of the profile page there will be a box that says Current Password: (it is right under the Required Information text). Enter your password, then continue to edit your profile.
What is add-free and how much does it cost? What is AIM, MSN, YIM or ICQ? They are messenger services & are free to join (with most you also get an email address with it) so that you can chat, share music etc & people can contact you in general.
Why do we have to host our own multimedia? Because here at Proboards we do not have the capacity or the allowance to host pictures & audio/videos. It is UP TO YOU to get permission to use the media in question & to host it for other members to listen to or download
How can I contact a staff member with problems? You can PM a staff member or post a message in the Pure Entertainment MB forum, we will try to help you.
Why can't we publish personal information? Because the Internet is a fast growing, worldwide Database, & it sends out information to everywhere you visit on the Web (see IP addresses above) There are a lot of 'Hackers' out there that spend time getting this information. For your OWN safety we ask that you do not publish your own personal information, such as where you live, your phone number, credit card/bank details etc. They could call or visit you, or give other people that private information & then harrass you. Please don't.
Why can't we sell anything here? Because we won't be held responsible if people are ripped off. If you want to sell things, please go on eBay where they can protect you against fraud etc.

Can staff look up lost passwords? No you have to click the 'Forgotten Password' link when you sign in
Can normal members create stickys, announcements etc? No only the staff can do that, if a topic is deemed important or should be viewable for everyone, it will be made into a sticky or otherwise.

How can I compress videos or multiple files for others to share? You can use WinRAR or WinZip, the addresses are given in the Media Section. You may need a license after the trial is over.
I've downloaded a file but it won't work? I would recommend you have the latest versions of either Real Player, Windows Media Player, QuickTime, PowerDVD or WinDVD.
What programmes are there to make signature pictures with? You could try Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Paint, & PhotoShop, among many others.

What is the warning system?Your warning meter goes up when you break the rules. The amount goes up depends on how bad the broken rule was.
When the meter rises above 50% you will get a Warning Title. This will replace any custom title you may have and will not be removed until your meter reaches 0%.
At 75%-99% you get a temporary ban. At 100% you get a permanent ban.
To get the meter lowered, you most demonstrate good behavior, and the meter will gradually be lowered. Disapearing for months does not show good behavior (in fact, it doesn't show ANY behavior good or bad), and will not get your meter lowered.
With all of that said, if you have been active at the forums and have been behaving and your meter has not lowered, feel free to PM me.
