Dr. Conrad Murray wasn't just Michael Jackson's personal physician -- he treated Michael's children as well.
Matt Alford, Murray's attorney, tells TMZ Murray met Jackson back in 2006 and treated Jackson for "various illnesses." Alford says Murray cared for Jackson's kids from time to time as well.
As for suggestions Murray did not perform CPR correctly on Jackson, Alford said he doesn't know why Murray did it on the bed instead of the floor.

Dr. Conrad Murray, the personal physician to Michael Jackson, is free to travel if he wants to -- but he plans on staying in town "out of the goodness of his heart."
A rep for Murray's lawyer tells TMZ there is "no need for further questioning" of Murray, but says the doctor "wants to help out as much as possible."
Murray was interviewed by LAPD yesterday for three hours. He is not considered a suspect.

Michael Jackson's family has its suspicions about Dr. Conrad Murray and what went down on the day Jackson died.
A source close to the family tells TMZ they feel Dr. Murray should not be cleared of any wrongdoing just yet. The family requested a second autopsy to find out what the last drug Jackson took was. We're told the family feels once those results are known, a criminal investigation will take place.
We're also told the family is questioning Dr. Murray's abilities as a doctor. In the 911 call, first published by TMZ, the caller says Dr. Murray was performing CPR on Jackson on a bed; CPR is routinely performed on a hard surface.
As our source put it, "If you're a doctor, how can you not know how to do CPR?"

President Barack Obama has written a note to Michael Jackson's family, a top White House adviser said today.
David Axelrod says Obama expressed his condolences to the Jacksons. He said Obama saw the pop star as a spectacular performer whose life had sad and tragic aspects.
The Prez did not issue a statement following Jackson's death.

Sources close to the Jackson family tell us Michael Jackson's three children -- Michael Joseph, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine and Prince "Blanket" Michael II -- say they want to stay with their grandparents, specifically Katherine.
Sources say MJ's kids will continue to live with Katherine Jackson at the family's Encino home. We're told the family is 100 percent behind this -- feeling that Katherine and Joe Jackson are the only people who can help the children understand who their father was, help them grieve, and teach them to deal with life in the spotlight.
We're also told the kids are healthy but, as expected, they "miss their daddy." They have no relationship with Debbie Rowe, who is the biological mother of Michael and Paris.
All of this will be critical to the case if, as expected, Rowe fights for custody.
